I have been online so long that when I started putting my very first websites together, keyword popularity wasn’t even a consideration. I would just think of an idea for a website, create some content, a few graphics, and link it up to an affiliate program, and pray someone came by to visit my site.
Thankfully, the Internet has evolved since then and many aspects of website development are considerably more advanced. You can no longer just put up a website and hope that people accidentally find it. There are simply too many sites out there for yours to stand out. You have to make a proactive effort to get people to visit you.
One of the primary considerations you will have when it comes to developing and promoting your website is the issue of keyword popularity. Your website may be full of the most amazing content in the world, but if you don’t know WHY people are coming to your site, and what is driving them there, you will never be able to improve upon the results. You need to understand which keywords work and which don’t – and that is where keyword popularity software is vital. (Read the rest of this post)

I remember, back in the day, when I was new on the web and had not even heard of the term, “keyword”. I put up websites with the sole purpose of showing what I could do. That was way before you could actually make any money doing it. Websites were a pure showcase of my skills and an advertisement for my website design business.
But, as more and more people came onto the web, traffic became harder to come by. There were lots of web designers like me and days would go by without even one visitor. It was about that time that search engines became more sophisticated and it was necessary to adjust a website so it was more than just an online resume.
Search engines use complex algorithms to determine keyword relevance, and ultimately your placement in their result pages. If you don’t have the right keywords, the correct number of them, and have them in just the right place, then you will never appear in a results page. And, that means that people will never find you. What you need is a keywords analyzer to help you determine how and where to place your keywords. (Read the rest of this post)

For years, I have been building websites and putting them out on the web, blindly hoping someone would come by and click on a link or my a product. I didn’t put a whole lot of market research into my endeavors – it was very haphazard, and the lack of revenue proved that it was.
When blogs became all the rage, I added them to all of my websites and saw my traffic start to increase, but it was still nowhere close to what other people were claiming to get, and my revenue was still fairly small. I struggled through, continuing to put up more content, more domains, and more blogs with virtually no idea what I was doing.

When I first started putting up websites, I was a geek. Then, I was a techie. Now I am an Internet Marketer. If you too are an Internet marketer, you know that there is more to Internet marketing than just putting up a cool website.
And, if you are an Internet marketer, you are not in this for the fun of it. Yes, it’s entertaining to put up a website, dress it up, and have fun with it. But, that isn’t why you are doing this. You are putting up your website or your blog to help supplement your paycheck. In some cases, the revenue from your sites is your only paycheck, right?
For me, my websites created only minuscule checks for many years. You know what it is like when the pay period ends for your affiliate program and because of your lack of revenue, the amount you make gets rolled over into the next period. It seems like I never got a check at all, and sometimes I didn’t. I didn’t understand the importance of keyword traffic.

Over the past year, I have put my traditional HTML websites on the back burner and have been focusing almost entirely on my blogs to create revenue. Blogs are a fun way to make a living and if you do it the right way, they don’t take a lot of time.
They do, however, take a lot of time if you do it the wrong way. Right now, there is simply too much technology out there for you to sit back and ignore it. Many new programs are coming out that can take what you do on a daily basis, by hand, and automate it. And, if you can find a program that saves you time AND makes you money, then it’s a win/win!
