Have you ever sold items on Craigslist before? That is my topic for today. It’s interesting to note that E-Bay is a great way to sell your items online, but a lot of people really don’t know that you can easily and effortlessly sell your items on Craigslist and for Free even.
I have been selling a lot of my arts and crafts and yarn on Craigslist now for the past year now. I was very fortunate to have located a great yard sale one day that had over 25 “boxes” of yarn for sale. I asked the owner how much she would want for the whole lot. She came up with a very affordable offer and I took it. I have been successfully selling the yarn on E-bay and Craigslist. I have also found a person who has continued to buy a box of yarn every 2 weeks when she gets her pay check.
I do enjoy selling my yarn on E-bay but there are fees involved and you have to account for that. That is a great avenue to sell beyond the local market. But Craigslist is different. You can post your ad and have it visible to your local people within 20 minutes. I have had people call just shortly after the posting and come by the house to buy the product all within an hour. Here are some tips to selling your items on Craigslist:
1) Research your item thoroughly on Craigslist first before you start posting. You could get a general idea what others are selling it for. If you want to get rid of it quickly, then lower your price a bit compared to the others listing the same item.
2) Write an attention grabbing title. Give your title the best and most informative information.
3) Take at least 3 or 4 great pictures of your item and post them along wiith the listing.
Selling your items on Craigslist is simple and fun. You can meet some really great people and create an income selling on Craigslist.
